1. Avoid brooding over last week's failure. Bear in mind that this week is another chance to make things right.
2. Reach out to as many people as you can and try to affect their lives positively. Remember that the little ways we help and show love matter alot, they count.
3. Try to achieve your set goals for the week. Do not let anything or anyone weigh you down. I know it might be difficult because of some negative energy around, nevertheless, push through and fight hard.
4. Avoid things and places that would make you regret. 'Be where you should be at the right time, doing What you should be doing'.
5. Lastly, smile alot, people will step on your toes but in all, be happy, knowing fully well that such is life.

SIMPLE WAYS TO SURPRISE YOUR PARTNER NO MATTER HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN TOGETHER
1. PLAN A DATE
Planning a date is one of the simplest ways to surprise your partner. Who doesn’t like to go on a date? I’m sure they will appreciate the fact that you took initiative to plan a date that both of you will enjoy. Just take care of every little detail and bring back the romance in your relationship. You will both have fun and your partner will definitely enjoy this sweet surprise.
2. GIVE THEM A “JUST BECAUSE” GIFT
You don’t need to break the bank to buy them a surprise gift. Just think of something they will enjoy, something that will show them how much they mean to you. Also, surprise them with this gift without having a special occasion, when it’s not their birthday or some holiday, do it just because you love them. You don’t have to buy them something expensive, you could just cook them their favorite meal or bake them their favorite cookies. It’s definitely a fun way to surprise your partner and they will surely appreciate your hard work.
3. DEDICATE A SONG TO THEM ON THE RADIO
This is such an easy thing to do and your partner will surely enjoy it! You could dedicate them a song on the radio that will remind them of you or even one of their favorite tunes from when they were younger; an oldie but goldie will never fails. Just make sure they are listening to the radio when your dedication comes on and see how happy they will be for such a wonderful gift.
4. PLAN A ROMANTIC GETAWAY
You don’t need to spend a lot of money to plan a romantic getaway. Just go for a couple of days to some place near your home that you know your partner adores and simply enjoy each other’s company. Also, if your finances are in good order, you could also go on a city break and visit some place you’ve never been before. Go online and visit sites like livingsocial.com or groupon.com and sign up for local deals.
5. SHOW INTEREST IN THEIR HOBBY
I’m sure your partner will be quite surprised if you show interest in their hobby, especially if you have never so before. Try to get to know them better and show genuine interest for what they enjoy. Just take up their hobby for a day and maybe you’ll discover that you actually love it too and you will have another thing that will bring you closer.
6. TUCK A LOVE NOTE IN THEIR PANTS’ POCKET
Write them a sexy love note and tuck it in their pants’ pocket or somewhere you know they will find it. They will definitely be surprised when they will read it and I’m sure you’ll be the only thing on their mind during that day. You could simply enumerate all the reasons you love them and why you are so lucky to be with them, or you could just tell them you love them and that you hope they will have a wonderful day.
7. REPAIR ONE OF HIS BELOVED WELL WORN OBJECTS
I’m sure everyone has a favorite object that they’ve used for as long as they could, until it broke but they still keep it just because it means a lot to them. If your partner has such a special thing that they cannot use anymore because it’s broken, just make them a surprise and repair it or recondition it instead of throwing it in the garbage. They will surely love the fact that you care about their needs and that you’re always trying to make them happy.

AFRICA’S CHEAPEST CAR WILL SOON BE AVAILABLE!
Kenya is determined to make Africa affordable for us all in 2014. Ventures Africa informs us that Kenyan Vehicle Manufacturer (KVM) has revealed that it is currently working on the assembly of Africa’s cheapest car in its Thika plant and ‘expects the vehicle to be made commercially available by June.
The car is an invention of computer engineer Joel Jackson and has been named Mobius. It was first assembled last year using parts from Toyota with 35% of the vehicle’s parts sourced locally. Cost of the car will be about $1,100, and Ventures reminds us that this is not bad, considering that new models of cars can cost up to $23,161.
We’re told that the car, which is built in Africa for Africans, takes into cognisance Africa’s rugged roads. It can accommodate eight passengers, driver inclusive, has a large space for stacking goods and boasts efficient fuel consumption capacity.
Although the car lacks air conditioning and other facilities such as power steering, Mr Jackson emphasizes that Mobius is designed for rural areas and small business owners who need cheap and affordable transportation.
The company will start production with 50 units.
3 Situations you should shut your mouth and why
We’re all wired to talk, especially entrepreneurs. Often founders can endlessly talk a blue streak, usually about themselves or their startup. Usually possessing this trait is beneficial, as the life of an entrepreneur revolves around hustling – selling our concept to investors, customers, partners, employees and vendors. But babbling on about your amazing startup or boasting about your accomplishments doesn’t always score points.
Here are three times why you should shut your mouth.
1. You are meeting with a potential new client. Yogi Berra once said, “You can hear a lot just by listening,” a piece of advice entrepreneurs should remember. A big mistake entrepreneurs often make is talking at their clients instead of listening to them.
If you’ve got the meeting then chances are they already know enough about you to be interested. Don’t waste that important time together trying to pitch them on what you can do. Instead savor the opportunity to actively engage in listening to what they need.
So what’s the best way to take the lid of the pressure cooker during irate client situations? Just listen. The more you try to justify your perspective, policy or the situation, the angrier your client is going to become. Sure, you’re going to need to offer some solutions later down the road, but right now you need to let the situation diffuse. Understand your client is upset and needs to release some of that frustration. Begin by asking simple questions like, “Tell me what happened?” to demonstrate you’re actively taking their complaint to heart and processing the problem. They’ll remember later that you cared and you listened, which goes a long way for making long-term customers.
I’m not saying sit there and don’t utter a word — it’s an interview not an interrogation room. However, letting the potential new team member do most of the talking prompts some interesting discoveries for you. First, it allows you to gauge the level of interest and intention the person has in your business. For me, I like to work with vendors and hire employees who take the time to invest some effort ahead of the interview into learning about my business. That shows initiative and a proactive attitude, which are two qualities I like on my team.
Second, it allows you to get a sense of them beyond the resume. What do they talk like in person? How do they present themselves? Are you getting any gut reactions to them that make you uneasy?
Finally, what kind of questions are they asking you? Questions are indicative of interest and intellect. I like hearing people’s questions. Are they simple ones they could’ve answered themselves from a simple Google search about you? Or did they put some real thought behind making sure the fit is right on both sides? Listen to your instinct while allowing ample open time for talking. You’ll thank yourself down the road when you hire amazing people and lead a great team.
